Ridiculous reviews that claim Latin punk bands aren't the most virtuosic or technical aside (wtf?), FARMACO are here to prove otherwise. FARMACO's second EP "Descolonizar" presents an explosive mix of the Japanese style of the 80s and the raw South American punk of bands like Soberanía Personal. The result is much more mature than the previous demo, but the urgent mood is still there: while the riffs recall bands like DEATH SIDE and L.S.D. and leave a surprising aftertaste of early POST REGIMENT, the vocals are primitive but desperate; trying to make their way through tempos marked by drumming that oscillates between D-beat and pogo-punk. FARMACO follows a rudimentary feel that seems to have reached its peak on this latest release. In short, GREAT SHIT!
