Great darkwave / gothpunk record, a driving sound typical for this genre carries the melancholic voice of the singer into the room to spread out there and cover all life like a black cloth. Reminds me a bit of CRIMSON SCARLET, only that the sound of CIERŃ from Berlin is a bit rougher.
"The Emperor Rx is a collection of songs that express our collective concern for human rights, animal rights, climate change and the general state of the world. The Emperor Rx is influenced by the tarot card The Emperor when reversed (Rx) in a reading. It represents abuse of power, totalitarian states, corruption, loss of control, weakness, instability and megalomaniac tendencies.
Our desire is to highlight dystopian themes in the hope of drawing your attention to political atrocities that surround us every day.
Every. Day. Everywhere in the world."

The sound is gruff and heavy (particularly the vocals, which are growling and intense), but the music is adventurous, working in elements of shoegaze and darkwave around the edges.
