POTENTIAL THREAT - What's So Great Britain! - 7" EP

Official reissue of their debut EP from 1982.
With this EP, it would be easy to label the group as a typical punk band in the style of Riot City/No Future, and to be honest, ‘Vice Squad meets Discharge’ isn't that far-fetched.  However, while so many British bands of that era stopped after one or two singles, Potential Threat continued into the mid-80s – the beginning of the ‘crust’ era of British hardcore punk – and was able to keep up with the ferocity of up-and-coming bands like Sacrilege, Concrete Sox, Heresy and the like.  Few bands managed to connect generations of punks while maintaining their musical ferocity and politically militant stance, and for that alone they deserve the respect of the punks of the 1980s.
