As VIVISEKTIO - 1985 12" from the forests and chaos of Lapland was released. As the name suggests, the album contains recordings from 1985 by this wild and furious Lapland band, all appearing on vinyl for the first time. So the original line-up of Vivisection plays on the album: Kirsi - vocals, Pekka - guitar, Satu - drums and Pena - bass. The A-side consists of recordings from autumn '85, which were thought to be lost forever until they were found by chance in connection with this album project. The B-side features early versions of some of the band's best known songs, such as Marionette and Masquerade.

A hardcore/punk band from Äkäslompolo, Finland. It was formed in late 1983 (as Vendetta) and disbanded in May 1986. Vivisektio was one of the first Finnish punk bands with female members. Original members Pekka and Pena reformed Vivisektio in early 2008 with two new members. Their debut album "1984" was released in 2011.
