SLUTS - Bäh - LP

The SLUTS belonged to the first generation of German-speaking punk bands, founded in 1980 and disbanded immediately after the 1982 LP release. Parts of the band were already active with the BOMBED BODIES in 1979, after the SLUTS disbanding Pelle moved to Heidelberg, where it continued from 1986 as SLUTS`N (for SLUTS`NEW) with a changed line-up and a new sound. Singer Rainer "Schlampe" Haremza and Peter founded AKTIVE NOTWEHR in 1983, which was active until the 2000s. "Bäh!!!" is an absolutely typical album for the emerging German punk of the early 80s, set in the mid-tempo range, with an unmistakable feeling for melodies and choirs and the charm of that time, which has remained unrivalled to this day. And with the usual simple lyrics between lifestyle, politics, boredom and punk rock. Short, concise, minimalistic and from today's point of view sometimes silly lyrics with youthful esprit and a tendency to cliché. The record, together with other AGR releases of that time, was a pioneer for Deutschpunk and still works 35 years later. The attitude towards life of a time captured on a record - rebellious, anarchic, fun-seeking and wild. "Bäh!!!" has never been released as a CD until today and has only been available on vinyl at horrendous second-hand prices for more than two decades. The sound was remastered from the original recordings, artwork was based on the original, the text inlay was completely redesigned and band history was added.
