Very lovingly and elaborately designed and the music of NIET has you right around, at least me.
You should know Niet!
It was one of the biggest Slovenian (then Yugoslavian) punk bands. They formed in 1983 and only managed to release a cassette in the 80s in 1984 (which is truthfully reproduced on this album, which also contains 3 other songs from that period). They lasted until 1988 and then disbanded. In 1991 their singer died, but the band was re-formed in 1993.
The material on this album is from 1984 (cassette Srecna Mladina) and 1985 (the three additional tracks were recorded shortly after). Male and female vocals, melodic yet desperate music that describes so well what happened behind the Iron Curtain. This is a must-have release in every sense of the word.
The LP comes in a gatefold cover with printed inner sleeve and a 24-page booklet. There is also the CD with the entire album AND additional tracks! A must have! Limited to 160 copies!
