Aliens in sunglasses, early Killing Joke (those dark, epic vocals), grave robbers, Alien Sex Fiend (that punky sass applied to Goth), the 50's B-side with its cheap sci-fi and horror movies and early rock'n'roll, killer clowns from outer space, psychobilly, Bauhaus (those guitar riffs), black magic, the Fuzztones, zombies, the Misfits.... All these elements and other nonsense make up the horrible paradise created by Miguel & The Living Dead, a band that could really only be American, but no, it's Polish! And they debut with this "Alarm!!!!", an album that seems to come out of nowhere and is linked in an imaginary time tunnel to all the gothic imagery applied to the "kitsch" that has populated the music scene in its various forms: call it "Batcave", "Horrorpunk", "Deathrock"... In truth, Miguel and his living dead have created a competent and professional album, containing the right ingredients, wisely dosed and distilling quality in the compositions and interpretation, a pure fetish for fans of the genre, even if they neither go beyond their idols nor invent anything new.
