Dividing Lines from Leipzig were one of the first punk bands that sought and found the connection to the electro-affine music of the gothis. In the beginning as a project band with drum computer, later with punk drumming, guitar, bass and keyboard.
The vocals change again on the 2nd Lp "Gone" between the singer Marie and bassist Erich, whereby Marie has polished her vocal lines in the new songs and shows once again more clearly what she can do. Erich's rough and sometimes a bit weird vocals give the tracks back their raw and spontaneous character.
The keyboard has always played a big role in Dividing Lines, for this lp Woody was inspired by the synth sound of the 80s and shows that even a theremin can fit to a punk band.
The guitar always sounds like post- to gothic punk, the drums like punk rock, so everybody does what he/she does best.
A beautifully presented Lp with professional sound, which Jeans von Fliehende Stürme worked out with the band in the studio.
