Demob is a 1978 punk band who (with the help of the late John Peel) rose to fame with their debut single Anti Police. Due to the serious undertones of the lyrics, John Peel did not play Anti Police on his BBC Radio 1 show, but instead played the B-side Teenage Adolescence. The highly anticipated new album, Still No Room, released on 1 May 2022 on Mad Butcher Records as vinyl and CD, was 5 years in the making and has been described as one of the British band's finest works. The songs on it include smash hits like "Shit Happens", "Once Punk Always Punk" and "Love Your Country (Hate Your Government)". They are still in tune with their anti-establishment protests, which they have been singing for over 40 years. The band continue to play stages across the UK and are a regular at the Rebellion Festival in Blackpool, England. The album is an essence of the real street punk scene of 1977 and should join the ranks of legendary albums of the time.
