Products description
Dekadent from Giengen were one of the most active German-language anarcho-crust-punk bands in the 90s. The band existed from 1988 to 2000 and released two albums, two singles and was represented on numerous samplers during this time.
Dekadent were different from the rest of classic crust/anarcho-crust punk, not least because of singer Tanja's extraordinary voice. Musically, there is an English-inspired sound, which gets its very own touch through the female vocals (and the occasional male parts). The lyrics are in German: political, direct and uncompromising.
Dekadent have always been consistently DIY, all recordings were made in their own rehearsal room with an 8-track machine, the sound is accordingly: raw, original and unadorned. Some of the records were released on the band's own label, the rest were released on Civilisation Records, the originals have been sold out for years.
"Almost complete decadent" contains a total of 35 songs, including the complete "Brot für die Welt..." LP, the "Wacht endlich auf" 7", a split 7" with the Finnish Peruutus, the song from the "Civilisation Backwards" sampler and 10 songs from the self-titled CD.
Released as a double LP with over 80 minutes playing time including a fat 16-page XL booklet in Crass style, poster insert and download code.
