This is the written version of the ‘Sexism in Punk’ lecture that Ronja Schwikowski has been giving in all kinds of left-wing shops over the past few years. This issue is about the start of the #punktoo movement, how the ‘Punk as F*ck’ anthology came about, but also the structural sexism in the German punk scene.
But there are also plenty of suggestions and possible solutions on how the punk scene could finally live up to its self-image as an emancipated, modern and open scene.
It also explains how the scene deals with younger punks and why so many people feel they ‘don't really belong’.
