Triebtäter were one of the first German-language punk bands from Stuttgart. Founded in August 1980, they disbanded in 1982, reformed a year later and finally released their first and only LP "Hass & Krieg" in 1984. In between, they played a series of concerts with ZSD, Slime, Normahl and Chaos UK, among others. Shortly after the LP, they finally called it a day. The band members later reappeared in Fliehende Stürme, Mädels no Mädels, Total Kaputt and Herbärds, among others. Together with Ätzer 81 and Normahl, Triebtäter were and are synonymous with the very early German punk from Stuttgart. A naïve, wild, non-conformist sound, free of blinkers and eager to experiment.
Fast, aggressive pogo punk with German lyrics without boundaries: obscene, adolescent, everyday, provocative, sometimes political. The classic mix of themes of the time. Often curious from today's perspective, but a wonderfully authentic contemporary document of the absolute early phase of punk in southern Germany. The anarchistic fun and the mood of departure defy from every line and every sound.
"Hass & Krieg" was produced by the band themselves in 1984 and distributed by Mülleimer Records (later A.M. Music). Reissued as a CD by the band for the first time in 1996 and sold out in a short time. The album was never reprinted on vinyl. In 1992 Incognito Records released the 6 songs of the Triebtäter demo from 1982 as a limited 7".
